Security

All of the product information and business tools on the Tech Data web site are inside secure areas -- you must have a user ID and password for access. New customers must apply for website access as a separate transaction after opening their Tech Data account. To gain access to the secured web site you must register someone as the Main Administrator for your business organization. We will send an e-mail to the Main Administrator that contains a login ID and a hyperlink to be followed to create their own password. The Main Administrator is responsible for providing access to Tech Data's secured web site for all other members of your organization and also controls their login ID and password. The Main Administrator is empowered to grant or deny access rights and permissions to a user; such as to be able to submit an order for merchandise. The Main Administrator may also create another admin user for a branch office location; as well as a user account for either an individual or a view-only user

If your company already has web site access, you must work through your company's Main Administrator to get a login ID and password or to change your access rights and permissions. Your Main Administrator can use our EC Admin tool to give you the appropriate level of access.
