This information can be used to populate your web sites -- both internal and external and build custom data sheets to enable your customers to make informed buying decisions.

By implementing DataPaq Select you will be able to develop and implement publishing solutions on your web site, enhanced with basic search and comparison features.
Data Sheets - Build custom data sheets containing images, marketing descriptions, specifications andother details which will enable your customers to make buying decisions. As the information is stored in your relational database, layout the product data to match your site's identity and specific needs
Product Browsing - The structured nature of the Standardized Description allows users to visually browse a search result and identify products for which they are searching by looking for specific information in columns.
Search - You may search on a few attributes such as manufacturer, product model, product category, MSRP. You may also create Text Search features.
Other Ecommerce Solutions
As a provider of IT products and services, you will want to tune and control this powerful method for influencing sales to your customers. Through creative use of the data provided in DataPaq Select and other Tech Data-provided services you will be able to achieve the greatest results and profitability. Other Tech Data services and products which complement DataPaq include:
- XML (Extensible Markup Language) XML for real-time Price and Availability calls, Online Order Placement, and Order Status.
- EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) is used to provide the price of goods and services in the form of an electronic catalog. Files are made available in industry-standard EDI formats on a daily basis to customers participating as trading partners with Tech Data.
File Availability
DataPaq files are usually available every morning by 10:00 am Eastern Time on Tech Data's web site. While files may be available earlier in the morning, we cannot guarantee earlier delivery as these files contain data dependent upon internal batch processes as well as delivery of data from external sources. The DataPaq files will be available on Tech Data's web site daily. Files will generally be available on this schedule even when holidays occur, but please contact the EC Help Desk for additional information regarding specific holiday scheduling.
