Integration Service Quality Practices Compliant with ISO Quality System Standards
Integration Work Request Form
This form instructs the Integration Centre to prepare a plug-and-ready system, or to install the components with which the customer will set up and expand the operating system themselves. Instructions by the customer need to be clearly listed and defined. The Integration Centre will verify them. Most integrations are completed and shipped in two business days.
Product Picking and Delivery to Integration Centre
Ordered parts and descriptions are verified for exact count and parts.
Product Staging
Product skid(s) has a sales order number form attached and then it is staged to the New Orders Segregated Area.
Unpacking Product
Products are carefully unpacked and placed on the conveyor line. Repack stickers are placed on the product and box to match the serial number when repackaging. ESD sensitive parts are left in protective packaging until the technician installs them into the system at ESD grounded work area.
Integration - Installation & Quality Assurance
Technicians will follow customer instructions from the Work Request form. Upon completion of Integration Service, the technician will place a yellow marker signifying that Quality Assurance Pass 1 has been completed. A second technician will review customer instructions from the Work Request form and inspect and retest all standard checks and unique-to-order tests. A green marker shall signify that Quality Assurance Pass 2 has been completed.
Repackaging
Each unit will be matched to their original carton by the repack sticker. The Material Handler will visually inspect for scratches, fingerprints, misaligned casing and loose screws or plates before repackaging each unit.
Finished Product Staging
Product skid(s) has sales order number form attached and it is staged to Orders Completed Segregated Area.
Shipping
All orders shall ship by 5:30 p.m. on day of completion.
Customer Owned Product
For those customers who currently own product and would like to utilize Tech Data's Integration Services, a Receiving PO# will be issued to the customer by Tech Data. Customers should ensure that this Receiving PO# is clearly marked on all cartons delivered to Tech Data and that it is clearly marked for Integration Services.
