A Nationwide show of support

In 2017, Tech Data made history by raising the LGBTQ+ Pride flag in front of our headquarters in Clearwater, Fl. in honor of St Pete Pride. This year, we're flying the flag at all Tech Data locations across the U.S. - and even our office in Canada - throughout June. This allows us to observe all of Pride Month and show our support for equal rights and opportunity for Tech Data's LGBTQ+ employees, as well as the community overall.

Pride in our Communities
  • This year, Tech Data will make history again with a record-setting attendance at the 2019 Tech Data St Pete Pride parade.
  • In both 2018 and 2019, Tech Data was recognized as a Business of Pride honoree in the company category by both the Tampa Bay Business Journal and Tampa Bay Diversity Chamber of Commerce.
  • As the top fundraising team for 2016 and 2017, Tech Data raised $18,000 for the Tampa Bay AIDS Walk.
  • John Tonnison, Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer, speaks out about LGBTQ+ equal rights in the corporate setting on the Tampa Bay Times.
  • Tech Data hosts an annual Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) Conference to educate and inspire our colleagues across the globe. The event features top industry thought leaders who share how D&I impacts their workforce and business, as well as the future of the technology industry.
  • For the past two years, Tech Data Costa Rica attended the San Jose Pride Parade and signed the Declaracion de San Jose-a written commitment that companies make to protect the rights of the LGBTQ+ community.
  • Our colleagues also participate in Pride celebrations in Milan, Italy, and Munich, Germany.
  • We are a Silver Sponsor for the Run 4 Life event in Germany, benefiting HIV awareness, every September.
  • Tech Data colleagues attended the Phoenix and San Antonio Pride parades for the first time in 2019, with over 100 participants in attendance.
  • Shane Lewis, Vice-Chair of SPECTRUM, Tech Data's LGBTQ+ Business Resource Group, was recognized as a 2019 Business of Pride honoree in the category of outstanding voice.
  • Tech Data has been a statewide sponsor of Equality Florida since 2015.
